You'll find the rock climbing community welcoming like few others are. Total beginner? Try climbing while secured on an Auto-Belay (where a device at the top of the wall will slowly lower you down if you let go on purpose or if you slip). You could also try Bouldering - like its name suggests, it's like you're climbing boulders instead of taller walls meant to simulate mountain faces. Certification classes are available so you and a partner can learn to secure each other along the gym's taller walls, and you may just see some really strong folks defying gravity along our Lead Climbing Ceiling that has climbers totally upside down 30 ft from the ground.
